WHAT IS A HOME ENERGY INSPECTION?
A home energy inspection uses the blower door and duct blaster to evaluate the air leakage in a home. After evaluation, modifications can be made to the home to reduce this leakage and become more energy efficient.
IS THIS INSPECTION REQUIRED?
Yes, all new constructions homes must pass these inspections.
Blower Door: result must be less than 5 air changes per hour at 50 Pascals (ACH50).
Duct Blaster: 6% duct leakage or lower.
WHAT HAPPENS IF THE HOME DOES NOT PASS?
If the home does not pass, we guarantee:
1. If within our scope, we will fix the problem onsite.
2. If not within our scope, once resolved, we will retest the home within 1-5 days.
